Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation lands order for 100 jets Posted: 17 Dec 2012 11:29 PM PST Japanese aircraft maker aims to become a significant player in short- and medium-range jet manufacturing Article Page Utah-based U.S. carrier SkyWest has ordered 100 Mitsubishi Regional Jets (MRJ) with the option of an additional order of 100 more aircraft, announced Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation. This is a major milestone for the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries subsidiary, with both orders being valued at US$4.2 billion each. "Without a doubt, this is a major order and significant boost for the MRJ program," Mitsubishi Aircraft president Hideo Egawa said in a press statement. The frighteningly high, 100-meter-long Titlis Cliff Walk, built along a section of Mount Titlis, was built in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Engelberg-Gerschnialp cableway, which began operating in 1913. Hanging approximately 3,000 meters above sea level, the bridge offers views that extend as far as 500 meters down "into the abyss of the south wall" on days with good visibility.
