There's only one seat worse than a dentist's chair before a double root canal, and that's the middle seat on a long-haul international flight.

Fortunately, if you are destined for economy class, there is still a way to get the most space for your buck, as reported in this Australian Business Traveller article.

In a recent CNNGo iReport assignment, we asked readers to share their photos of their favorite Japanese travel destinations.

Keith Hollis, currently living in Yokohama, sent us these images from his voyages around the country and closer to home. Here, he explains the selections he made and what stood out for him.

Royal Tokyo

I shot the pictures of the crowds greeting the Emperor at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo around January 2 this year.

Every year the Emperor makes only a few appearances in public, one occasion being shortly after the New Year.

Pity a poor Briton living in Hong Kong who wants to start a holiday in Thailand today. Just who should he or she believe?

Despite its unassuming title, the Korea Furniture Museum is surprisingly stunning and notoriously exclusive

With 10 exquisite hanok structures fitting together on approximately 6,600 square meters of beautifully groomed landscape, the Korea Furniture Museum is perhaps the largest best-kept secret in Seoul.

And for the time being at least, it wants to stay that way.

Having unofficially opened in 2008 after 14 years of construction, the private museum is the beloved brainchild of its owner and director, Chyung Mi-sook, a former professor at Yonsei University and a collector who personally amassed the museum's 2,000 pieces of Joseon Dynasty furniture over the past five decades.
